Valencia boss Gary Neville was put through one of his "worst experiences" in football as his side were humiliated 7-0 by Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Luis Suarez hit four and Lionel Messi struck a hat-trick as 10-man Los Che were humiliated in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final at Camp Nou.

Neville has already insisted that he will not stand down from his position, however, and is looking ahead to Sunday's La Liga clash at Real Betis.

"I am not going to sleep well tonight," said Neville, insisting he would not quit when questioned by journalists. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever gone through in football."

"I wish the match against Betis could start in 10 minutes. The people I feel most sorry for are the Valencia supporters. They don't deserve a performance like that, Neville added."

Valencia is yet to pick up maximum three points in the league since Neville took over of first-team affairs at the start of December.
