Former Chelsea star Frank Lampard tearfully told wedding guests how he fell head-over-heels for his bride Christine Bleakley just a week after they met at the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain awards.
The former Chelsea and England midfielder, 37, and TV host Christine, 36, partied until 4am today with a host of celebrity pals after tying the knot.
But before they tucked into a slap-up five-course dinner at posh venue The Arts Club in Mayfair, Central London, Frank made his touching speech .
As well as telling how he fell in love with Christine, he also paid tribute to his mum Pat, who died in 2008.
One guest said: “Frank was basically saying it was the best day of his life and he wished his mum had been there to see it.
"He said his mum would have loved Christine too if they had met and he got very choked up.”
Blissful married life to you Frankie. See more beautiful pictures below
