Benfica are reportedly close to securing the services of Barcelona youngster Alex Grimaldo. It is believed that the 20-year-old is highly regarded at the Camp Nou, but he is yet to make a senior appearance for the Catalans. However, according to A Bola, the left-back has agreed a contract with the Portuguese outfit until the summer of 2020. The report adds that Benfica will pay a fee in the region of £750,000 for Grimaldo, who started his career in the youth ranks of Valencia.

 The Barça B left-back Alejandro "Alex" Grimaldo (19 yrs.) is one of the most prominent youngster in Barcelona's youth ranks who has so far seen first team opportunities hard to come by.
